An adhesive tape used in autoclaving to indicate whether a specific temperature has been reached. Autoclave tape works by stripes appearing after exposure to temperatures commonly used in sterilisation processes, typically 121°C in a steam autoclave.
- Size: 55M x 19mm roll.
- Prep room use only: to support Key Stage 3 to A-Level Biology: Microbiology
- Hands must always be washed thoroughly with anti-bacterial soap and hot water after handling any contaminated items.
- During Sterilisation, any vessels within an autoclave must be open slightly to allow the steam to penetrate.
